D-TAIL LAB Ceramic Coating Warranty Programs
Each D-TAIL LAB professional coating line is paired with a defined warranty duration, activated by a participating dealership or professional installer after installation. Current programs range from one to five years depending on the coating installed.
How the D-TAIL LAB Warranty Program Works
Professional installation
A D-TAIL LAB ceramic coating is installed on the customer's vehicle by the dealer or professional installer.
Dealer activation
Designated dealership Finance / F&I or Warranty staff enter the customer, vehicle, VIN, installed coating and installation date in the secure Warranty Portal.
Warranty contract
The warranty contract is processed separately from the physical coating purchase. A single container can be used for multiple installations, and a warranty can be activated after the installation date.
Warranty records
Warranty records, required documentation, maintenance information when applicable and claims are managed through the D-TAIL Warranty system.
D-TAIL LAB Ceramic Coatings and Warranty Terms
Warranty durations apply to professional installations of D-TAIL LAB coatings activated through participating dealerships and professional installers. Eligible coating lines include:
- CERAMI-X KRYPTO High-Solid Ceramic Coating for Paint — up to 5 years
- CERAMI-X INVICTA Advanced Ceramic Coating for Paint — up to 4 years
- CERAMI-X NAVA Marine-Grade Ceramic Coating — up to 3 years
- CERAMI-X FORZA Ceramic Coating for Wheels & Calipers — up to 3 years
- CERAMI-X SPECTA Ceramic Coating for Glass — up to 2 years
- CERAMI-X STROMA Ceramic Coating for Leather & Synthetics — up to 2 years
- AUTOGRAPH Advanced Ceramic Spray Coating — up to 1 year
Warranty terms and coverage details are documented in the warranty contract issued at activation. Where a KRYPTO warranty contract applies, its written terms set out any maintenance documentation requirement for that contract.
Warranty Activation for Participating Dealerships
Ceramic coating warranties are activated by participating dealerships and professional installers, not by the end customer. Each dealer identity is linked to a company record, and Warranty Portal access is assigned to designated personnel within the dealership.
D-TAIL LAB account holders can assign Warranty access to designated Finance, F&I or Warranty personnel. After signing in, the designated user can register the customer, vehicle VIN, installed coating and installation date. The Warranty Portal then manages the warranty contract and subsequent documentation.
Are you a vehicle owner?
If your D-TAIL LAB ceramic coating was installed through a participating dealer or professional installer, contact the installer that performed the service for information regarding warranty activation. The installer activates the warranty on your behalf; vehicle owners do not activate warranties themselves from this page.
KRYPTO — Professional Maintenance & Care
To help preserve the appearance and performance of a KRYPTO coating, an annual professional maintenance visit is recommended. Depending on the surface condition, your installer may offer a maintenance wash, compatible decontamination and a coating inspection.
Maintenance services and optional care plans can be arranged directly with the installing business. If a separate warranty agreement has been purchased, refer to its written terms for any specific maintenance obligations.
